Coconut Oil

A key cleansing component in our soap & shampoo that has been shown to provide soothing & moisturising effects for the skin.

SHEA BUTTER

Derived from the nuts of the Shea tree. Packed with vitamins (A & E) and fatty acids that are known to hydrate, soothe and protect your skin.

cocoa butter

A staple in our soap base. Extracted from cocoa beans. Cocoa butter is rich in fatty acids and vitamins and is known for its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin. 

castor oil

Made from the seeds of the castor plant. A great component for our lather and even better for your hair. Rich in fatty acids and contains ricinoleic, making it a great skin softener and protector. 

DISTILLED WATER

Free from impurities and minerals that could interfere with the soap making process. Distilled water is used to create our clean natural soap & shampoo blocks.

Sea Salt

A staple in our soap Blocks. Sea salt not only adds some hardness to our Blocks, it also contains magnesium, potassium and calcium which help nourish & protect skin.

Lye

Sodium Hydroxide; this is a man made compound, used in soap making since approximately 1800BC, to create saponification i.e., turn oils into soap! During the saponification process and our 6 week curing stage, there is no Lye remaining in the finished product.

Turmeric

Natural colorant. Derived from the rhizomes of the turmeric plant. This contributes to the yellow hues in our blocks. Also well known for its antiseptic and antibacterial properties. 

Annatto Seed

Natural colourant. Seeds derived from the achiote tree, these give our blocks their tremendous yellow hues. They also contain powerful antioxidants.

Alkanet Root

Natural colorant. A root from a herbaceous flowering plant native to the mediterranean region. This gives our blocks their hues of pink & purple.

Charcoal

Natural colourant. Derived from coconut. This gives our blocks their grey & black hues. Known for removing impurities and cleansing skin.

Pink Clay

Natural colourant. French pink clay gives our Blocks their pink & yellow hues. Also known for its excellent skin cleansing and gentle exfoliation properties. 

Green Clay

Natural colourant. French green clay gives our Blocks their green hues. Also known for its excellent skin cleansing and gentle exfoliation properties. 

Brown Clay

Natural colourant. Rhassoul Clay gives our Blocks their brown hues. Compliments a terrific lather and known for its excellent nourishing properties.

Kaolin Clay

Natural colourant and skin sprucer. White Kaolin clay supports the overall colour tone of our blocks, as well as adding a silky feel. Also known for its excellent skin nourishing properties. 

Woad

Natural colourant. The leaves of the woad plant contain a pigment called indigo. This pigment has been used for centuries as a natural blue dye. 

Aloe Vera

Skin sprucer. 200:1 concentrated Aloe vera powder. A brilliant moisturising agent containing B complex, folic acid and carotene.

Nettle Root

Skin sprucer. We know what a nettle is in the UK. Nettle root powder is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. 

Liquorice Root

Made from the liquorice plant, this powder contains compounds like glycyrrhizin and licochalcone, which are know for their anti-inflamatory effects. 

Bladderwrack

Found in some of the world's seas', including the North Sea. Packed with vitamins A, C and E, as well as iodine, potassium, calcium and magnesium.

Sea Moss

Found in some of the worlds seas'. Rich in polysaccharides, which have moisturising properties that can help hydrate the skin.

Bamboo Powder

Made by grinding bamboo stems into a fine powder. This has anti-inflammatory properties, whilst also being a fine and gentle exfoliant. 

Menthol Crystals

A compound derived from peppermint oil, delivering a wonderful soothing and cooling sensation on your skin. 

Pumice

Exfoliant. Ground into a powder from volcanic rock, this beauty is a fantastic exfoliant for the skin. 

Walnut Powder

Exfoliant. A heavy exfoliant made from walnut husks. This contributes towards our rough scrub blocks.

Poppy Seeds

Exfoliant. A heavy exfoliant that contributes towards our rough scrub blocks.

Oatmeal

Exfoliant. Oatmeal is oatmeal. A gentle exfoliant that adds a silky lather to our blocks.
